GDP世界１０位の韓国。だが、障害者への福祉予算はわずか０.６％に過ぎず、OECD加盟国の平均の３分の１に満たない。現状を変えようと障害者たちが地下鉄でのデモを始めた。彼らが特に改善を求めているのは、“移動の自由”。韓国ではバスのバリアフリー化は３割に満たず、地下鉄駅にエレベーターのない駅もある。韓国の障害者を取り巻く厳しい現状を見つめ、社会の変化を作るために奮闘する人々の思いに迫る。

South Korea holds the world’s 10^th highest GDP, and yet its welfare budget for disabled people is just 0.6% of this, less than one third the average of other OECD countries. In response, disabled citizens have taken to subway stations to demonstrate for their rights, especially freedom of movement. Less than 30% of South Korea’s buses are wheelchair-accessible, and some of its stations lack elevators. This episode chronicles the country’s disabled populace who rally for social change.
